New Machinery Safety Regulation published, main rules from 2027
A new Machinery Safety Regulation aligned with EU 2023/1230 replaces the 2009 rules. Its main obligations apply from 20 January 2027.
The Ministry of Industry and Technology published a new Machinery Safety Regulation in the Official Gazette on 16 October 2026. It follows EU Regulation 2023/1230 and replaces the 2009 regulation based on the earlier directive.
Some provisions took effect on publication, while the main obligations apply from 20 January 2027. Machinery lawfully placed on the market before that date may still be supplied, and existing EC type-examination certificates stay valid until they expire.
